Welcome to Christmas Eve! Today we visit the giant tree in between Future World and the World Showcase. This tree in this spot holds a nostalgic place in my memory. I had been going to Walt Disney World for nearly 25 years before my first visit during the holiday season. This tree was the first holiday decoration that really blew me away…

As Christmas draws near we are all busy little elves running around trying to get last minute tasks completed. I am not different. So for the next couple of days, we’ll make sure we get some holiday photos from the Mouse posted here so that you can rekindle the spirit after fighting over a PS3.
And nothing says Christmas like Main Street USA…

Today we go to the Disney MGM Studios. Turn down Sunset Boulevard and you’ll find some very old-school looking decorations along the street lamps. It reminds me of the decorations they used to put up on the lights in the center of my town when I was growing up. Look beyond them to notice the manager at the Hollywood Tower Hotel has not done much exterior holiday decorating this year…

Today we stay at Epcot, a truly amazing place to spend the Christmas season. Here we move around the lagoon to Italy for some evening photos. The detail and authenticity of these buildings, like every building in the World Showcase, is amazing…

Jim Hill Media is reporting today that the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club, a new living character show along the lines of Turtle Talk with Crush, will not be making its debut in the Magic Kingdom when originally scheduled. Instead, the attraction will apparently not be fully open until spring of 2007. Read the rest of this entry »

We are getting ever closer to the night Santa squeezes himself down into my woodburning stove and leaves some presents under my 6 foot plastic Christmas tree.
So let’s travel over to the World Showcase and see some more holiday decorations to get us into the mood. First is a nice addition to the store just up the first set of stairs from the promenade at the Canada Pavilion…

And then only steps away we enter the United Kingdom. Here is a nice little touch to keep the season bright…
