We’ll stay at Epcot for Day 3 of Mouse Extra’s 12 Days of Christmas series, but we will to move all the way from one end of the park to the other. Once again we have two photos today of the same decoration. These are at the front entrance right as you battle your way through the turnstiles. It’s a terrific topiary featuring Pluto, Donald and Goofy…

Since Pluto is facing away from us in this shot, I just thought you might enjoy a closer shot of Mickey’s best friend…

Today’s pictures come from the World Showcase at Epcot, a place that embraces the Disney holiday spirit better than any other spot at Walt Disney World. Let’s post two pictures today so you can get a real feel for the decorations used at the American Adventure pavilion. The first is the tree outside the pavilion…

And just so that you don’t miss some of the details, here is a close-up of just the building. I love the smaller wreaths they put in the upper windows to match the scale…

I just received this email from Disney, and I thought you may find it useful…
We would like to inform you that as of the evening of Jan1, 2007 there will be a new admissions policy to the Pleasure Island dance clubs. The BET Soundstage™ Club, 8TRAX, Mannequins Dance Palace, Motion and Rock ’n’ Roll Beach Club will be available to individuals age 21 and over, with acceptable forms of identification.
The Adventurers Club and The Comedy Warehouse will remain available to all Guests, and consistent with current policy, Guests under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult.
The half price admission you enjoy as a member of the Disney Dining Experience will not be effected by this change in policy.
I have not been to a club at Pleasure Island in quite some time. With all the great bars they have surrounded the area with that don’t require admission, coupled with the fact that I ain’t much of a dancer, I just haven’t had the urge. I know most of the construction they’ve been doing is coming to an end, so I’ll make sure I get some photos of the place the next time I am there.
From each day until now and Christmas we will be posting a new photograph of the holiday decorations at the Mouse. Today’s photo is taken from under the tree in front of the entrance to the Animal Kingdom, always the most unique of all the parks trees…

Today’s merchandise review comes from an unofficial source of great Disney-related products, the Extinct Attractions Club. The club’s founder, David O’Neal, has spent years producing some amazing documentaries on some of the best Disney attractions, extinct and living. A recent edition to the catalog is a terrific and exhaustive study on the making and legacy of the “Pirates of the Caribbean”. Visit the club’s site to learn more about what they do and see the entire DVD catalog. Read the rest of this entry »
