More Spoilers for Pirates of the Caribbean 3; At World’s End

Okay folks.  Pay close attention.  THERE ARE MAJOR PIRATES III SPOILERS IN THIS POSTING!!!  You have been warned.

Pirates of the Carribean

The internet has been swelling with possible plot lines for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean; At World’s End.  But here’s a source that most Disney fans may not be aware of; a boating magazine out of California called Latitudes & Attitudes.  On page 73 of the March issue, it describes how the writer observed some filming going on off the coats of California, and the launches into a treasure of great plot descriptions.  Here’s what it says…

At World’s End begins in the Orient, where Elizabeth Swann, Keira Knightley’s character, is taken as prisoner to the dread pirate Sao Feng, played by Chow Yun-Fat.  She’s in cahoots with Barbossa, the evil ghost pirate from the first film.  The plan is to exchange the prisoner, who is hooded, for some charts Sao Feng has, but the whole thing is a scam.  The prisoner is actually Will Turner, Orlando Bloom’s character, and the heroes make off with the charts anyway.

The charts are needed to help them find Davey Jones’ Locker, where Jack Sparrow went after he died in Pirates II.  But the Black Pearl sank with Jack on board.  Jack is in Purgatory, which for him is a desert filled with weird crabs.  When he is rescued things keep getting complicated as characters keep selling each other out.  The there is a gathering of a pirate armada to battle the armada of the Dutch East India Company, and then they call on Calypso, the Goddess of the Seas.

This magazine went to print before the Jim Hill Media piece I referenced earlier this week, so I really must commend Lats and Atts for being on top of this.  So what do you think?  Does it sound like the blockbuster Disney is banking on?
