I'm skeptical about this as well. Spider-Man and the X-Men are great creations, but they arrived, what, 30-40 years ago? There have been comics, cartoons, etc. to build those character brands, which in turn created an audience for the films. Anything Lee comes up with now will not have that advantage.

I think it's great that Disney is thinking outside the box, but, sad to say, Stan The Man is probably past his prime.

Keep the faith, True Believers!

OK, guys. I get it. But this is Stan Lee. He's a creative genius. Am I the only one that thinks Disney should be applauded for laying out money for a creative genius? Heck, I'd get the guy to work at WDI if I could.

Yawn. No Spider-Man, X-Men or any recognizable creation and as Dave mentioned, his best creation has been Stripella. The man is a genius, but without his recognizable characters, it's like bringing an empty bottle of wine to a party.
