Announcing Star Tours 2.0 early in 2008 makes perfect sense, from Disneyland’s side of things. A very strong rumor has come out that next year Disneyland will be getting the Star Wars weekends along with WDW. What better way to kick off this new celebration for the resort than with a new Star Tours ride?

Yikes!

Talk about coming full circle! Battlestar Galactica was created to cash in on the Star Wars frenzy. I can’t imagine Lucas copying Battlestar since it is a minor hit (major on Sci-Fi).

But who knows what he is thinking. (Jar Jar)

The live action show is purported to be two one hour made-for-TV movies.

We can only hope that it will spawn more films and shows. I wonder if Lucas is trying to re-invent and re-brand a la Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who?

There are 2 new shows. The first one to be released perhaps in 2008 will be a CGI animated show entitled the Clone Wars and will detail the, you guessed it, Clone Wars. It will feature many of the characters from that era like Yoda, Grievous, Mace Windu, etc plus new charaters. Lucas hopes to complete about 100 episodes.

Lucas is trying to find a writing team for a second show which will be live action. Its far from production. All we know is that it will take place between the 3rd and 4th movie.
