I love Test Track. I always found it a lot of fun, although the theme is a minus point I suppose

I have a feeling Carsland was something Iger wasn't supposed to mention. That's not how they typically announce new attractions, especially an "anchor". Also, Disney put out a press release the same day about the expansion at the Grand Californian, and there was no mention of Carsland.

That said, it would seem that the land would be based on the concept art in the annual report, the one that did show a Test Track like attraction. Though it showed a two track Test Track like attraction, which could be cool.

I've never been a big fan of Test Track because I find the theme/story very mundane. But if themed toward Cars and if done well, it could be really nice. Then again, we've seen how things can change drastically from the concept art, so we'll have to wait and see. My guess is they won't talk about it much until Toy Story Mania is open, or at least very close to it. For marketing reasons, they typically like to keep the focus on the next thing, not something further down the road (pun intended).

Carsland could still be just one large attraction (test track), a place to sit and eat, a place to get a snack, and a shop... with theming of walkways, etc. it does not have to be multiple attractions. Note that some of the Disney Studios areas in Paris have this notion of CARS land - but it's really one attraction (small), a photo op place, playground, etc. geared more towards kids. Since Flik's Fun Fair is already in place, they would have to do some tinkering.. but the idea is not new or novel..
