so... for $250 I get some night vision goggles so I can see a blurry vision of lions in the distance as they drag over a pre-killed carcass and lie down to eat in grass so tall I can't really see anything?

These are the same kind of lions I saw 6 hours ago in broad daylight at the Animal Kingdom at 1/4 the price....?

Do I have that right?

Oh, and rather themed, improv sketch comedy, the Adventurer's Club is now going to have the actors promote the park that guests have already signed up to see? In other words... the actors will make them feel good about their $250 ticket?

This sounds a little janky to me. It reminds me of many of Disney's current add-on offerings (Pleasure Island, golf, waterparks, cruises) which cost addition dollars and are only used by a minority of the actual visitors. I have no doubt this will be a success though, considering the pool of people that would want to have this experience will be high.

If Sea World can do it, why not Disney? The price tag does affect the traffic. At $250 a pop, the amount of people in this new park is bound to be less. Its a different kind of experience entirely. I find it interesting that they're choosing this theme, since it seems to be very similar to Animal Kingdom. This would be a logical extension to Animal Kingdom rather than a whole new park.

I have to agree with you on this one. It just doesn't sound like it is worth the money. Personally, I don't like the trend toward such high end travel that the average Disney guest can't afford it. Great article.
