I found the Timon & Pumbaa movie to be very sad, with all the talk about global warming and the Earth being polluted. I think Disney may have decided it was too serious, or frightening to children. It also would be really awkward for parents having to reassure their kids, the world isn't going to end. I think it might be a good change.
